Nearly 365 Projects This Year
Yay! One down, only 364 to go.
Just kidding, I am a bit more realistic than that, but I do have some creative goals this year.
I sew and craft a lot—it’s what I love to do. I recently read THIS about making something every day. There are no real parameters, instead, it is a way to push your creativity and personal growth rather than producing 365 products. I like that. My first reaction was that there was no way I should even entertain this idea, but I like it and want to try it with some modifications to work for me.
So, here’s my goal: I want to create {complete} something every day except Sunday—I need a definite break built in. And, I decided (lectured myself!) the things I create do not have to be elaborate. I just really want to be realistic and not let this take over my life or be something else unfinished on my to-do list. And, no punishments for not creating something one day!!
I promise not to share everything with you—it gets old—but I am planning to document it for myself in some way. So join me or just keep an eye on the 365 projects out there. I have seen some phenomenal ideas and have been really impressed with others’ projects.
Project 1
I bought these cool tights late last summer and knew they would make a darling outfit if I could find the right fabric for a dress.

Easier said than done! I kept buying darling fabric online only to discover it didn't quite work. When I found this colorful dot on black fabric at JoAnn’s, I knew it would be perfect—and it was cheap. There was a coordinating stripe, but I thought that might be too busy. I love the green swirls to break it up a little. There were pink swirls, too, that I really wanted because my daughter often wears hot pink patent leather Mary Janes, but the quality of the pink fabric was poor so I went with the green.

My daughter insisted on the flower for her hair and I have to laugh because she wore bright pink anyhow.
(And wore those hot pink Mary Janes, too! She really is a hot pink kind of girl.)
It is pretty busy, but I think it works.
What do you think? Too much? Or, lots of fun?

365?! WoW!! =) my goal is 50! I can't wait to see the projects you decide to share with 'us'!
Well...you do realize that I am down to 313 just by taking out the Sundays, right? And, I'm not talking a dress a day!! Just creating something every day--even a hair accessory counts for me. I guess I like the idea of the routine of creating!
I LOVE all the colors in the tights and jumper!! How neat!! Love those tights...can't wait to find them for my little niece who is 3 years old. Love your green swirls around the edge of the jumper!!!
very cute!
I think her shoes will work with it anyway ;)
Whoa.... even 313 is a mighty big goal. I would love to be able to even squeeze in one completed project a week. Hummmm.... does "make something every day" include dinner? Good luck on your goal, I will be checking back in to see what great things you have come up with...
Cutest. Thing. Ever.
Wow. 300-and-whatever. And I want to see each and every one !!
